About God's Country Outfitters

Since 2008, God’s Country Outfitters (GCO) has been providing people from all around with some of the most legendary hunts known to man. GCO is Florida’s finest outfitting service with over 30 years of hunting experience. GCO is owned and operated by good country people who love hunting just as much as you do, and know how to make your hunt successful. GCO has 40,000+ acres of prime hunting ground located around San Mateo, Florida and along the St. Johns River with several different tracks of land from the deep swamps, to the high oak hammocks.

The very first settlers that came through San Mateo in the 1800’s found the woodland to be absolutely beautiful and from there on thought of the land as “God’s Country”. This is where the name for our business originated from. God's Country has even more meaning to us because our great, great, great grandfather, Mateo Solana founded this beautiful place.  We are located only 30 minutes from the historical Saint Augustine, and only 45 minutes from the famous Daytona Beaches.

Here at God's Country Outfitters we want our hunters to feel welcome, but we also want their families to feel welcome, whether they are hunters or not. Our lodge and cabins are located in the beautiful, quiet outdoors, but we are not far from a lot of fun family activities.  There is something for everyone here in north central Florida.

If you or your family are interested in history and fun attractions, downtown St. Augustine is a must.  St. Augustine is known as our nation's oldest city and has some great amenities along with beautiful beaches to see and experience.  St. Augustine also has many delicious restaurants to eat at.  There is an excellent outlet mall to shop at as well. God’s Country Outfitters offers Osceola turkey hunts, wild hog hunts, and alligator hunts. Combination hunts are also available for a variety of hunting opportunities.
